Al-Qaeda operatives destroyed and consecrated the tombs of al-Habib Ahmad Mohsin al-Haddar, alias al-Mahjub, and that of his wife, located inside the Dome in the district of Al-Salam in Mukalla. www.dhamarnews.com..

The Sufi was born in Indonesia, Surabaya-Java, in AH1277 and came to Yemen and the city of Tarim residing in ?Aynat where he joined the school of his grandfather al-Husayn b.Shaykh BuBakr. An ascetic known for his teaching, he travelled across the country seeking knowledge and disseminating learning, until he arrived in Mukalla where he stayed. The dome was constructed after his death there in AH1357.

The project 'Postwar Reconstruction in Yemen' was implemented by Daw‘an Mud Brick Architecture Foundation in partnership with the Cultural Emergency Response Network of the Prince Claus Fund in the Netherlands and the Office of the Governor of Hadramut.
The project was funded by the British Council's Cultural Protection Fund in partnership with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
